VeloFinland seminar will take place on 25.-26.9.2025.

Friday 26.9.2025 — VeloOFF location will be announced closer to the date. We will send a notification to those that wish to attend.

Saturday 27.9.2025 — The Finnish Cyclists’ Federations’ Annual Meeting will take place at Sokos Hotel Lappee.

It is easy to reach Lappeenranta by train or bus. We recommend getting to the seminar by bike, on foot or by public transportation. You can find secure bike parking available e.g. in front of the Lappeenranta City Hall, around the corner from Finnkino Strand.

The train ride from Helsinki takes about two hours and there are several trains on the schedule each day. From the travel center (train and bus station) it is approx. 18 min walk, 7 min bike ride to the main venue. 

Train tickets can be purchased through VR.fi.

You can find bus schedules and purchase tickets through Matkahuolto. Bus tickets will be released for sale about a month prior to the date of travel.

Lappeenranta airport is located approx. 3.1 km from Finnkino Strand.

If you arrive in Lappeenranta by car, you can find information about parking at Sokos Hotel Lappee here. You can find ABC-charging stations in the parking garage, as well.  Finnkino Strand and Sokos Hotel Lappee use the same parking garage.

We recommend that you make your lodging arrangements in Lappeenranta as early as possible. Sokos Hotel Lappee, right next to the main venue, offers a VeloFinland discount by using a VeloFinland reservation code. You will receive the code with the confirmation email once you register for VeloFinland. You can take advantage of this discount until 3.9.2025, after which the room block will be released to the general reservation system.

The City of Lappeenranta will provide coffee service in the morning and in the afternoon as part of the seminar. Coffee service can be found in the VeloFair space.
